In-house manufacturing for specialized industrial tooling.
Industrial operations sometimes require more reach, a specific end profile or dimensions beyond standard catalogue options. Madido manufactures robust percussion tools for these requirements, with direct control over the key production stages in our own facility.

Extra-long lengths and custom dimensions
Extra-long tooling is manufactured in lengths of 12 feet (approximately 3.66 metres) and beyond, subject to configuration and application review. Contact our team to review the required dimensions and configuration for your application.
Available interfaces include SDS-Plus, SDS-Max, Hilti TE-S-compatible equipment, 0.401-inch shank air hammers and USN chipping hammers. The specification defines the interface, overall length and point or chisel profile. Our team will review the configuration for your application and confirm feasibility, price and lead time.
Browse our electric hammer tools and USN chipping hammer tools, or contact us to discuss a non-standard request.
Target hardness matched to the application
Target hardness is defined around the operating conditions as part of the tool specification. The choice depends on the steel, tool cross-section, working profile and service demands. Hardness is one part of performance; toughness and wear resistance also depend on the material and its heat treatment.
| Operating need | Technical focus |
|---|---|
| Repeated impact and shock loading | Review toughness and resistance to chipping or cracking alongside the target hardness. |
| Abrasive contact and loss of the working profile | Review steel selection, wear resistance and hardness at the working end. |
| Combined impact and abrasive wear | Balance these requirements with the end profile and tool dimensions. |
If your drawing specifies Rockwell C hardness (HRC), include the target range, measurement location and acceptance requirements in your request. The final specification is agreed after technical review.
From raw steel to the finished tool
In-house production integrates the following operations:
- Steel cutting: preparing the material to the required dimensions.
- Hammer forging: forging the points and chisels with our specialized hammer-forging machinery to produce robust, high-quality working ends for demanding industrial use.
- Machining: producing the connection geometry and finishing the specified dimensions.
- Heat treatment and quenching: treating the steel for demanding percussion applications.

Direct support from the manufacturer
Keeping these operations in-house connects your requirements directly to the team making the tools. The manufacturing review brings together equipment interfaces, working conditions and dimensional constraints to define the proposed tool specification.
Discuss your application
Send your tool interface, end type, overall length, working dimensions and quantity. Describe the material being worked, impact conditions and observed wear or failure, such as rounding, mushrooming or chipping. Include any hardness requirements, drawing or photo for a complete technical review.
